Airport / Office / Lunch table
The other day I went full-on digital nomad when my flight landed in Berlin just 10 minutes before a session with the current cohort of the Regenerative Leadership Journey began.
And I wasn’t going to miss this one.
Not just because Thomas Mansfield was presenting his beautiful project Cards for Life, but also because the sessions with our dear Regenerators siblings are always among the highlights of the week for Laura Storm and I.
No wonder that the card I felt drawn to during Tom’s presentation was ‘Margins’.
The spaces that are both beginning and ending.
The borders that touch each other.
The places of transition and change.
Sitting with ‘Margins’ made me reflect on being in the liminal space of flying back home to Berlin, coming from home in Barcelona. Fully immersed in the characteristic energy of transit, tuning in from a terminal using technology that lets us connect with people across their mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
How everything was happening at the same time, in the same place.
And how I was in the middle of it all, experiencing everything at once, no longer seeing the lines that separate “each thing.”
Because when you’re standing right on top of it,
you can no longer see the margin.
What’s possible when you don’t see the edge, but become the edge?
